After the success of our first event around the use and possibilities of technology in architecture, RIBA Gloucestershire met again for a set of talks featuring innovation in ETFE (Ethylene tetrafluoroethylene) and sustainable low-carbon Concrete. Our speakers included Christopher Rowell of Architen Landrell, and Graeme Jones of C-Probe Systems.
C-Probe systems specialise in developing low carbon & sustainable products that provide durable protection to structures that can suffer from deterioration due to the environment (corrosion and chemical attack) or catastrophic events such as fire. We look forward to learning about their extensive work, both in practice and research.
Architen Landrell have vast experience with innovative applications of ETFE in architecure. We learned about their innovative work with ETFE Cladding to the Kelana Jaya LRT Tunnel in Kuala Lumpur.
